Point-of-sale software developer Escher Group has been formally elected to join the .post digital innovation group at the Universal Postal Union (UPU). UPU’s .post group has been established to link the physical and digital worlds, creating a secure platform that enables postal e-services to be delivered to all citizens and businesses.
Escher has been invited to participate in the development of the sponsored top-level domain (sTLD). The sTLD is available exclusively for the postal sector and will immediately identify legitimate postal services and avoid confusion for individuals, businesses and stakeholders. Escher Group will contribute postal digital applications that will help .post to integrate the physical, financial and electronic dimensions of postal services to enable and facilitate e-post, e-finance, e-commerce and e-government services.
